THEODORE ROOSEVELT NATIONAL PARK (05/2010)

These are the Badlands that Theodore Roosevelt loved.

Petrified Wood.
There is a huge buffalo population in the park.
There were a lot of babies!
The mothers are extremely protective!
A very sudden snow storm came up, and this
little guy ran for his mom!
Life is rough in the Badlands!
There is also a very large wild horse population.
Look at these beautiful blue eyes!
A sweet baby!
He was very active!
There are a lot of deer and elk in the park.
Elusive elk.
Many species of birds.
Not sure what this was - he was so cute!
A pair of golden eagles - nice sighting!
LOTS of these little varmints!
